Evening thread.

Hellooo. I'm trying to procrastinate as hard as I can.

What did everyone do today?

I went to my mom's for easter lunch and my cuteass niece rolled over for the first time. It was awesome.

Re: Evening thread.

  • I'm here, doing homework. I am super annoyed with FBIL's...they told me they couldn't do brunch but wanted to do lunch today. So I bought a HUGE pot roast. Neither of them showed up.
  • Had breakfast at FI's house, followed by churchy church, then headed to my parents for 2:30 lunch/supper ... finally relaxing - and procrastinating studying for a final I have tomorrow to get certified as a Emergency Medical First Responder. Oh well, TK and TV are more enjoyable anyway

  • Yeah I'm supposed to be studying for my chem final that is on Tuesday and/or working on a final presentation I have to give in sociology tomorrow.
  • I'm working on my final for Seperation and Loss (aka Death and Dying)...ANYTHING else is more interesting
  • I'm watching Celebrity Apprentice.

    What's yours?
  • I haven't done anything other than sit on the couch and watch TV. I couldn't sleep at all last night because I was having nightmares when I would close my eyes. I think I finally took a nap from about 8:30 to 11. DH is going to run to the store in a little bit and get us some dinner.

I took a class in college:  "Suffering, Death and Faith"  That was sure an upper.

  • I took Holocaust and Genocide my senior year. My professor was a Polish jew survivor and we had lectures from other survivors. It was a depressing class, but really interesting.

  • I took a death and dying course in college as well.  It was kind of neat because we learned a lot of interesting stuff about wills and next-of-kin in "unusual" death scenarios. I know that sounds weird. Haha!

  • I'm ready to kick my sisters ass. She, who has never been pregnant and never wants kids, is trying to give me labor inducing tips.

  • Haha, Kelly, I bet. I'm sure it's along the same lines as this class. Yesterday, I learned that there are skyscrapers in Japan and other countries that are used as cemetaries

  • Ciara does she think you're just sitting there doing nothing? I mean I'm sure you've tried everything you can (besides castor oil)
  • Jill, that's actually kind of cool. It seems like a more classy (for lack of better word) way to bury people. Does that make sense?
  • I have no clue. This is the sister that, when I got pregnant, said it was the stupidest thing that I could have done and that she was not excited to be an aunt. Now here it is 6 months later and she is constantly pestering me about everything.

  •  I just got here. Worked until 8pm. Then I joined DH for a few drinks.  Didn't get a chance to call my family because of work.. Oh well.

I had a good day at work.  Tomorrow is my only day off so it's like my Friday and Saturday night at the same time.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • My favorite class in college was my anthropology class.

  • My favorite was an intro to women's studies class. There were a lot of statistics so I didn't do very well on the exams but my teacher was the shiit. She didn't care what anything thought of her and cussed the whole class. She was really interesting to listen to.
  • I thought so too aleighk! It's been an interesting class, but some of it has been VERY depressing. So far, I think my favorite class has been my therapeutic play class-it's been really demanding work-wise, but has been so helpful. I'm taking a Human Sexuality class next semester that I'm pretty excited about as well.
  • That will definitely be interesting.

Good evening ladies! I hope you all had a great Easter. :)

Can I AW a few of my sneak peek e-pics? My friend photog posted some already and I love them! My brothers stopped by too because my mom wanted a few nice pictures of them and so we snapped a few pictures of us 4 (J & I and my brothers) that I really liked:

    Ok, AW moment over. :)

  • I only need to take 8 credits next semester, but have to have 12 to be considered full time, so I'm kind of just throwing some random classes in there Smile
  • Those are great Music!
  • Thanks :) I was kinda nervous because my friend isn't really a "professional", he just kinda randomly is really good with photography, so I was hoping we'd get some good pictures. But he was awesome and totally had great ideas for poses, locations, etc. I am considering asking him to do our wedding now because I know he'd be waaaay cheaper than anyone else, and I feel so comfortable doing it with him.
