Quick help needed!

What about a light pastel, just off white? Like a green or blue?

ETA: Reading fail. For some reason I thought we were talking about walls. ::headdesk:: I like black/charcoal.

I like the red suggestion, but it might be a little too bold depending on the other decor. I'd go with something to match, a black or dark gray.

Also, I love and want that couch.

TR- I vote black, or maybe sand it and get a darker stain?

I say a bright color, whatever you want to use as an accent. Red would work, lime green is surprisingly chic-looking, or blue.

The staining was our first idea, but H decided that was too much work and we don't have that much time before we move.

Vally - we probably will eventually get a new table, but it's too much right now after buying the couch, TV, tv stand and bookshelves, haha.

I think he's getting Behr 730E-2 "Sparkling Spring".  We really don't have ANY set color in that room so we'll just work around this blue-gray.

TR, is the bookshelf Ikea also?  I need something like that I just can't seem to find anything I like.

We're scared of bright colors.
  So I put that color in with what look closest to the walls, couch and bookshelf colors and this would be our "palette"

Yeah, that's not the bookshelf we got I just grabbed that picture because it's the same color, but they're IKEA.  Ours is only half of that, tall and skinny.  It's for his records.  The couch is IKEA also.

Haha, it's ok. Bright colors are an acquired taste. Staining is a huge pain to make look good from what I've heard, and that blue looks pretty!

Thanks!   Guess we'll be making a trip to Ikea soon.  We can never go in and get out of there in a timely manner.  I hate that.

You could also do a darker teal blue - like the peacock feather color.

I think I"m late, but I would do  blue! Either a bright one or that pretty blue in your paintchip thing.
