Wedding Website Etiquette for Pre and Post Wedding events?

What is the etiquette for posting information on your wedding website about pre and post wedding events that everyone invited to the actual wedding may not be invited (e.g.,rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, post-wedding brunch)? It would be nice to have a location for everyone invited to these events to go for more information, but I don't want people to feel left out. How do you word something to let everyone know that this information is only for those who received invites?

  • If not everyone is invited, then I would leave the events off of the wedding website.  It's kind of rude to indicate that certain events are invite only and it will make the uninvited people feel left out.  Just use the phone or e-mail or an insert in the invitation to communicate with the people invited to the special events.

  • If everyone or most everyone is on fb do a closed event page and invite the people who are invited to the event to join that page.

  • You could create a separate page of your website that is not linked to the main site, and send that link out to the people who are invited to these events.  But you should not have any information about exclusive events in a place where those who are not invited will see it.
