Would you care?

We are planning our RD right now and FIL are looking at a buffet option... Would it be bad to have buffet two nights in a row?

Edit: Buffet at the RD - Seafood, meats and potatoes.... Buffet at the wedding - Chicken, Beef, Fish, Pasta bar and all of the works

Re: Would you care?

  • As long as they're different style. Only a small percentage of your guests will be at the RD.
  • Nah, we had a casual RD with a buffet and then a stations buffet at our wedding.

Personally, I like being able to choose what I'm eating.

    Nope.  Food is food.
  • If it tastes good, I wouldn't care.  I would not judge that at all.  I'd just make sure that different enough stuff is served between the two.
  • I agree with surcrets, I like to be able to choose what I eat.
  • Thank you ladies!! I figured people wouldn't care but love outside advice!

It has taken me 6 months just to get them to say what they waynt instead of "we want what you want" and me not knowing what to shoot for with price!!

You get a lot more with the buffet and can have a little bit of everything!

  • So I responded and it is not here so I will say it again!

Thanks - I appreciate the opinion! You do get more choice with the buffet for the same cost - Also less work trying to track down what people want!

  • Not a problem as long as I get fed.  Booze is a plus, but then I am easy.
  • As long as the foods weren't the same, I wouldn't give it a second thought.

"Whatever East. You're just mad I RSVP'd "lame" to your pre-wedding sleepover."
  • Yeah, i wouldn't have a problem choosing from a buffet two nights in a row. Its not like its the same exact meal, and you can accommodate more food preferences with a buffet.

  • Any food is good food, as far as I'm concerned. ;P

  • As long as they are different, I wouldn't care at all. Just try to ensure they are as diffrent as possible from each other
