Re: Hellooo...ooo...ooo...

• SUCCESS!! Just had to refresh a couple of times.

Um, I need to share a photo of Lucy I just took. She's sleeping on her back, contortionist style, back legs twisted one way, front ones in the air, pointing the other. Hilarious.

It's a bad picture because I had to take it fast--
Hello ladies! I went shopping today for something nice to 'wear out' to a 'fancy' dinner this weekend in Montreal. Almost $200 later, I come back with no fancy clothes. But whatever, I brought some cute clothes (which I can double and wear to work) so I think its money well spent. Im not sure FI will feel the same way but thats okay haha he spends money on his work gagdets on the time and I've done a lot better with shoppping for clothes (havent been in months!). Lol I sound like an idiot. <strong>Other than that, I cant wait for this work day to be over.</strong>

Ditto this... I don't want to take care of children today, I want to go home and sleep. Only an hour and 45 minutes left...

• Success in getting the book?

I think I'm about to slap on some sunblock and head outside to read on my lounger on the deck.  It's like 85 degrees out, I should take advantage of that.  And H is in a port and he is able to call me pretty easily for a few days now and hopefully get some skype in too so it's a pretty good day here.  Maybe even good enough to crack a few beers while reading.

However I am slightly bummed to think today is the day H was supposed to be home, and now we still have a few months to go.  Yeah, I think beers are definitely in order.

Well, yes and no. It was a hypotheticals discussion. he would have a harder time finding something in that area that he would 1, want to take and 2, would pay him what he earns now. He thinks he's too old. He's 37 *eyeroll* I say 5 years of international experience makes him more marketable than some kid right out of school, even if it is a fancy school.

Anyway, he was just letting me know that I shouldn't hold back any opportunities with my career if they present themselves. He knows that I made a huge amount of sacrifice for him career-wise when we moved in the first place, so he wants me to feel free to explore any opportunity that comes my way.

ETA: YES! Success on getting the book. I did the outside earlier thing today and it felt amazing.
• I just want to snuggle Lucy.

And I need to download Insurgent.  I've been holding off because I know that I'll want to read it right away, and I still have two papers to do.  I'm planning on downloading it before I go to Wildfire so I have something to read at night when I'm trying to fall asleep.
Allergies suck, Special.  My ashtma triggers are pretty much all the things.  Do you know what caused yours today?
Posted by MyUserName1
<div>Not really. I haven't had an allergy-related asthma attack since I was a teenager. I've had a few when I've had bronchitis.</div><div>
</div><div>I have apparently developed an allergy to lilacs, which sucks. I love them so much. Two of our bushes bloom later than the others, so they're going strong right now. My campus has lots of them, too.</div>
• That suuuuucks, Special.  It's pretty rare that I have full blown attacks nowadays too, but it's particularly rough if you don't know what caused it!  Do you still have an inhaler and all?  Mine is so far expired, I'm generally trying to head off asthma attacks with caffeine and carbs.
• I'm watching the episode of Grey's Anatomy with the girl who has the spontaneous orgasms and I feel like it's kind of ridiculous how squirmy and loud she gets with each one. I feel like I would be able to be quiet and relatively still if I was in public and it was happening to me 7 to 8 times a day.
imageWedding Countdown Ticker
• I do not have an  inhaler anymore. I talked to the nurse at my doctor's office, and she said it was probably allergy related, and that I could just go home and take some Benadryl. It seems to be working.

I ordered The Bronze Horseman this week, and it arrived yesterday. I heard fabulous things about it, but I still have twenty pages to write on US-Canadian relations.
• I kind of feel like getting into a new TV show... anyone have any recommendations? I like Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Friends, SATC, Sons of Anarchy, Pretty Little Liars, True Blood... so my tastes are kind of all over the place. I generally can't deal with a lot of violence (sometimes I have to turn my eyes away when I'm watching SOA.) Other than that, I'm open to whatever.

I watch Greys, Gossip Girl, and How I Met Your Mother pretty reqularly.  Also Dexter when it's on (but it can be violent so idk if you'd like it).  I've also started watching Smash. I really like it actually!
• I forgot about Gossip Girl, I used to love it. I think I left off midway through last season, so I missed the last half and all of this past season. I should get caught on that.

I'll check out GCB as well, I tend to like ABC shows. I couldn't get into Pan Am so I gave up after the 3rd or 4th episode.

I like White Collar and Suits, I forgout about the USA shows. FI LOVES Burn Notice... I never got that into it, but maybe if I go back and watch the first season, I would.

Thanks ladies!

• NEW GIRL. My favoritest of favorite new shows.
• I hope the Benadryl keeps working Special.

Angel, whatever you do with programs, don't print the pages of the program below yourself for an almost 400 person guest list. I have 500 pages of white cardstock to cut up (each has 2 pages of the program on it), 250 yellow cardstock backgrounds to cut to size and 250 pieces of blue ribbon to cut. Then assemble, staple, hole punch and tie them together.

• I <3 New Girl! I've always had a girl crush on Zooey.
• I loved that book, Special.  The other two were pretty good two.  The third drug a bit at the end, but all in all they were satisfying reads.

I have 2 hours of work left.  I think I can make it.  Ugh...

Midge, that sounds awful! We're hoping for about 150 guests, but I'm really not a DIY person anyway. I'll likely just have them printed for me.

That program is really pretty though!

</div><div>Angel, I just started watching Scandal and Smash. I love them both. I put GCB in my Hulu+ queue. </div><div>
</div><div>Regularly, I watch Psych, In Plain Sight (though I missed the last season), New Girl, HIMYM, L&O: SVU, NCIS, Body of Proof, BBT, and Bones.</div>
• Ugh, Ranchy. Parks&Rec is one of my favorite shows of all time. <3 My tv taste is all over the place though. Currently my favorites (both currently running and not running): Fringe, Friday Night Lights (one of my all time favorites EVER), The Wire, Parks & Rec, Community, Mad Men, LOST, Veronica Mars.

I FUCKING LOVE THAT SHOW
• Oh, I can't forget SVU. It's so predictable and sometimes terrible, but I love the characters enough to ignore that.

Trashy/bad tv that I enjoy anyway: Big Brother, Hart of Dixie, 90210, RHONJ, Bethenny Ever After.

• I'm starting to think my boss is about to start pushing her assistant out.  She's moved some of her duties to me and some to another girl in the department.  I kind of want to warn her to start looking out for my boss's typical MO when she gets ready to force someone out/lay them off, but I don't know if I'll look like a douche doing that.  I just don't want her to be caught off guard.

Agreed. Although I'm not that thrilled with Stabler being gone, as I love him.
imageWedding Countdown Ticker
• Thanks for the rec, Froggie! Bay, did you also read all of them?

MuSu, I freaking loved Veronica Mars. The whole series was on Netflix, and it was one of the few shows I could actually get H to watch with me.

We also really like Top Gear, but we watch the History Channel version, not the original BBC version. H cannot stand English accents, which he fully admits is weird. Rather than listen to him whine, I just watch the HC one. I have a crush on Rutledge.
• Adamar - I don't think it hurts to warn her, although if some of her responsibilities have been taken away recently, she might already be aware of what might be happening.

Danny Pino made an appearance in a dirty dream.<div>
</div><div>I really liked Stabler, but I thought it was not at all plausible he could have kept his job after all the stuff he did. IRL, he would have been fired by the end of the third season.</div>
• I feel like the heavens have opened up because two people have told me they are Vmars fans. There are so few of us. <3 I lost my 2nd season DVDs in a move, and I am sad because I used to have the whole collection.

Angel -- I would bone Stabler every day of the week if I could. Ummph.
