What if I don't want a certain kind of shower?

  • <3 you Dani.  haha

And my 2 cents, I would be pissed if I got invited to what I thought was a bridal shower and it was a Pampered Chef party.  I DO NOT go to these kinds of parties.  If i want to buy something, I know how to go to a store or get online and buy it.  I hate being cornered into buying something I don't necessarily want.

  • I think the moral of the story is that it depends on your crowd.  For whit, it's normal and everyone has them so no big deal.  For me, my Mom and girlfriends don't really like going to those kinds of parties and would sort of dread it so I wouldn't have one.  So think about your group and how they would feel.  If you already feel uncomfortable about it, there's your answer.  Say no thanks.

  • Awesome.  I just wanted to make sure that it was ok to say "no."  And I know I'll have other showers, so I'm not missing out on my one chance at a shower.  I'd even be willing to register w/ Pampered Chef and let people know they can buy me stuff from there if they'd like.  I just don't want them to feel pressured to buy from there or for themselves.

    Thanks, everyone, for your input!
