Ok, fine, what should we do?

Unpopular opinions?  I judge?  Knottie poll?  Shut the f up and stop being a PW, kiki?

Tell me what you want this to be and I will change the subject accordingly.

This place needs some shock therapy, STAT.

  • Well then I'm going to talk about my co-worker, who can't seem to move a piece of paper without making an absolutely ridiculous amount of noise.  I tried to see if I could be that noisy this morning, and I couldn't accomplish it.  She's special.

  • You should watch all the online tv you missed.  Like me.

I don't bother responding to a lot of stuff anymore because what I *want* to say, would possibly get me banned.  So, I STFU and say nothing.
  • I was totally watching TV last week.  On CBS.com (I think... could be NBC or ABC, though), they have the first 4 seasons of 90210 (the original) online.  It was pretty awesome.

That's not good.  Seriously - say what you want; anything else is bullshiit.  What is the worst that could happen?  Even if there's a ban, you still know people like you and want you to come around under a new name.

I want to discuss what we're getting our Hs for Christmas, if we celebrate Christmas, because for the first time in my life I am stumped.
  • I always buy my H a wallet.  So, that's one thing I am getting him.

  • I have no idea what I'm getting H.  He wants an iPad, but that's not going to happen.  Maybe I'll give him a swift kick in the A because he never gives me any ideas of what he wants.

Starbucks selling alcohol... I just don't see the point.

  • Yeah, it was bad. His roommate at the time is a friend of ours and he thinks the story is funny, now. They had a volcano-themed party the weekend after the fire. H still feels bad about it.

Look at Bucketgirl's response.  I spent like the last 20 minutes trying to find this post because she really hit me the wrong way.

  • I like the Christmas gift topic.  I don't know what I'm going to get H, but I have lots of time to think about it.  Since he'll be deployed through Valentines Day too, I figure I'll just have a really nice gift for him when he comes home to make up for both.  I know he loves the Sirius in my Jeep and relly wants it in his car, but he wants it installed inside the radio, not the mounted radio on his dash.  So I might do that.  Either that, or we might scrap the few holidays to put the money towards the cruise we want to go on when he comes home.

Holy crap.  That's awesome. I hate Starbucks!

Unpopular opinion:  I don't think single mothers should date, really. (edit:  that's really vague, I don't think they should bring guys home until they're super, SUPER serious)

I judge:  people who chew gum with their mouth open (Coworker - I'm looking at you)

Knottie who tries to stir shiIt up:  Kiki, obvs :)

Christmas present for H:  When we move into our new apt (we're signing a lease tomorrow...eek!) we're buying ourselves a flat screen TV and that will be our gift to each other.  And if our parents ask what we want we'll ask for gift cards toward it too, haha.

Alcohol at Starbucks?  I don't like alcohol and I don't like Starbucks so..meh.

On-line TV - have to watch House and Lie to Me and SIsterwives...whew!

But I wouldn't have my awesome step-dad.  And my mom would be lonely. :-(

It just needs to be done right.  She didn't bring guys home quickly, and they didn't spend a night together (Unless I was at Dad's) until after they got married.

  • You love my shit-stirring, TR!  ;)

  • Hard to believe that you'd write "I don't think single mothers should date" and then call someone else a shiit-stirrer, TR!

  • I clarified OWN and I stand by that.  I don't think there should be a parade of "new daddies" in and out of the house when there are young kids.  And that's why it's an "unpopular opinion".  And Kiki MADE ME!

  • I went into Barnes and Noble this morning to get some coffee. As I walked in, I saw this cute, tiny old man walking out. I saw he has a cane, so I figured I'd help him and open the door for him before he can get to it, so he doesn't have to struggle with holding it open and dealing with his cane and all that. Turns out, he's got TWO canes, and is leaning against the door already to open it. And when I opened it, I threw him off-balance, and he almost fell. And I sputtered an apology, and he said, "I can manage." I asked him if he wanted me to open the other door for him, and he said, "No." I feel like a jackass.

I can bring up this thread, but it won't show the correct link in the address bar.

    It's Snarky Brides, page 3
"They changed my venue, am I overreacting"

The OP has a right to be upset.  Her venue was changed, not drastically, but it affects her pictures and such.

Bucketgirl told her that she had no mercy on some princess who blew 20K on a wedding.

I get that.  My Mom handled dating with a 12yo and 16yo daughter very well.
She knew we were too close to the age to hold it against her.
