Wedding Etiquette Forum

+1 hypothetical

So, we all know that when giving someone the option to bring a guest, the host cannot dictate who that guest is.

What if Bob and Sally, who are married and very close friends of you and FI, are invited to your wedding but Sally is going to be out of the country visiting family, and Bob will be able make it without her. You tell Bob he can bring a friend if he'd like. Bob shows up with another woman on the day of the wedding. How do you react, of at all?

Backstory on Bob, in case it affects anything: Both bride and groom know that Bob cheats on Sally, has even given her an STD, uses their computer to go on dating websites (plentyoffish.com, to be exact) and is basically a scum bag. everytime youve tried to talk to him about it, he gives you the "listen ive changed, im a new man, thats not me anymore" game even though its a bold-faced lie. Bob also has an affinity for younger girls. He's 26 and has actually brought a 19 year old to our home before... Talk about awkward. I dropped Sally's name so many times just to make it clear that I completely disapprove of this sh*t. FI says, "hes nothing but a friend to me and what he does in his personal life has nothing to do with him, and at least if he's hanging out with me that's less time he's spending cheating." basically, FI isnt going to stop bein friends with bob just because he is a POS.
(this is hardly a "hypothetical" situation if you couldnt tell lol and its not anything I'm concerned about yet, just got curious)
