I have reached a small milestone today.

I did not cry when I hit a cute, small, furry animal this evening. It was still sad though.

In other news I'm quite upset I missed that epic thread from earlier.

Oh gosh, I could cry just reading that. On more than one occasion I have cried because a dog was running loose in the road. Next time, the dog is getting in my car.

I would have balled. I've been known to stop in the middle of the road and put a loose animal in my car.

My neighbor lets her dogs run free since we live in the "country", but the interstate is right at the end of our path and I hate it.

I guess I'm on a little earlier than I normally browse. There's normally not really anyone here when I am. I've chatted with Roxy once or twice as well as Jill #'s, but that's about it.

That is why I am confused.  Also, why would nobody being on vs. everybody being on make this post make any more sense?  Is there a backstory to this that late night posters know?

Especially about hitting animals?  If there's one thing about this board, its we all have soft spots for the furbabies.

I think (I guess) what she means is she didn't expect so many day time "regulars" to be on. She expected just a few people that she "knows" and wouldn't think anything of it.

Its just a depressing post.  Its okay to be sad if you hit an animal, they're innocent.

Sorry, wasn't trying to be depressing. I don't like running over frogs in the road much less something that could be considered cuddly. I just felt a little good considering I didn't break down crying in the middle of the interstate.

I hit something the other day- for the first time- and was horrified. I think it was a rat. A mummy rat with her baby rat following her. I didn't see it, but Nick did and eventually told me what it was... I was horrified. Poor little rat!
