Ner: table/seating map?

We have 12 tables and instead of numbers, pictures and the name of the place in the pic. They aren't going to be in any real order, so do you think its necessary to have some sort of map or something?its not that many tables but I don't want to irritate people by having them walk all around the tent. Any one have any other suggestions?

  • Yes, put some kind of chart so people don't have to wander around looking for their table:-)

  • Yeah, you definitely need a map so people know where their tables are located with respect to entrance/exit or other markers (like dj table or head table).  I would hate to have to walk around looking for my table and have no idea where the table is generally located.
  • We had table names instead of numbers and I didn't do a map. Oops? You only have 12 tables, I personally don't think it's that hard to locate your table among 12 tables. But that's just me. If you have the time and are able to create something, go for it.

  • I'd do something to make it easier on guests.  If you can create a map or put numbers on as well as the theme then do that; or maybe someone from the venue can be delegated to point people in the right direction.  Otherwise I'd at least put them in alphabetical order so people can pick up on the pattern.  Depending on how obvious the photo-locations are and how big the font is it may be tricky for guests to spot their table, especially once it's partially filled and there's just more clutter and activity distracting.
  • Are they local places? Idk if this is too much, but it'd be really cool to create some sort of map that gives the tables a place both in the room and in the state/town/county... That may get a little too DIY  and could be a lot of though... Just a thought and some inspiration :)
