What do you give as gifts when you go to weddings? For me in NJ it is from $200-$500, depending on how well you know the person. It can go higher if you are really close friends/family. I understand from people I work with that it varies greatly with ethnicity and culture. How about other parts of the country? NJ weddings are also really expensive. Here they run around $40K! It's a regional thing, I guess. Anyone else?
