It's slow...

What are you doing today? We walked to the farmer's market this morning, then I skyped with my sister, did laundry and now I'm writing some articles for work and not happy about it.

Hi! I had a pretty busy day today. But it was really productive, which makes me feel good. I did a DIY wall decoration project and got it all hung on the wall. Did laundry as well. Pre-made supper so all I have to do is stick it in the oven about an hour before we're ready to eat. I did some cleaning and rearranging as well.

I have a question about steaming broccoli. Broccoli has never been my favorite, but FI loves it and I need a green thing for dinner tonight. I've steamed it before, I can do that part, but I just can't seem to season it properly. It always comes out bland. Anyone wanna help me out?

@LC- Personally I just like a little butter and salt on mine. What else are you having?

Holy productive!! Makes me feel kinda lazy. I don't know about broccoli, I think i've only ever put salt and pepper on it.

I just use pepper on my steamed veggies. They taste amazing. But I love broccoli.

Yes usually I wait till it's done. But I'll let you know when I get there.....lol. Dinner looks deliciuos,may have to share that someday.I can get the FI to cook it for me.

Butter on broccoli is great.

FI and I took the dogs for a looong walk today at a little state park nearby. Then, we took the girls to petco to get some pig ears. We turned in our cat adoption paperwork, and looked at a few of the cats there. The dogs were fantastic and really well behaved. I am starting to think the intros may go smoother then we thought. *fingers crossed*

Broccoli tastes good with a bit of grated parmesan ontop, with a sprinkle of salt. Ive gotten myself out of the habit of buttering my veggies so I dont even notice it without.

Ive honestly done jack shiit all day, I read almost an entire book and thats about all ive done.

Ok, the one with the soy sauce sounds great. It won't go with the rest of what I'm making tonight, but I bookmarked the page. Thanks! I think I'm just gonna do butter, salt, pepper, and try some garlic powder maybe? IDK. FI will eat it one way or the other, I'm more worried about me liking it.

We've had a productive day. Hung out with J's family for the last time before surgery. And dealing with drama on my side of the family which isn't helping me feel any better about anything going on right now.

Right now laundry needs to be folded, dishes need to be put away, and the apt needs to be cleaned. But there's always tomorrow, right?

FI is making Bison burgers, and steamed veggies, so I'm a happy girl. He's leaving me again this week so I have to fend for myself.

I walked about 2 hrs today around town, ate Five Guys (burgers...not people...), bought New Moon and simultaneously sold my soul.  All in all, a productive day.

I was actually productive today.  I turned out guest bedroom into something that actually resembles... a guest bedroom.  FI parents are going to be staying with us (gag) for the weekend of our shower, so I thought I'd pretend to like them and give them somewhere nice to sleep.  Don't tell them the cat just peed on the bed...  i spent about 3 hours yesterday cleaning that up.  

Then I spray painted a bunch of flower pots and deck furniture to make it all look nice & new again.

I am watching Jurassic Park and buying a furminator online.  I am also looking at rescue dogs because apparently, my FI has been thinking about it a lot and has decided it is high time we get a dog.  I pretended to be skeptical and think it over carefully, but really I was going:
