I apologize for the lengthy post, but a bit of back story is necessary.
My half brother is getting married the weekend before me. I don't really know him that well, we've only really been around each other a handful of times. I've attended his engagement party & his fiance's bridal shower (so I have met her twice). I will be unable to attend her bachelorette party as it is the same day as mine. They didn't attend our engagement party. I don't think she will be attending my bridal shower since it's the day after our bachelorette parties and she lives about 1.5hrs away. I am also 99.9% sure they will not be attending our wedding because they will be getting back from their honeymoon that day (completely understandable).
We were really leaning towards going to their wedding, but I'm worried that I will need that time for myself and my last minute wedding things. Their wedding will be about a 3hr roundtrip drive for us, so it will definately consume an entire day maybe more. I am working Monday - Thursday the week of my wedding, so I will not have much time during the week to take care of those last minute things. Is it wrong/bad if I don't attend their wedding? If we choose not to go, I would obviously send them a card with something thoughtful written inside and a gift. People I have asked have said this should be okay, but I'm worried it will look bad.
