Inviting co-workers

My fiancée and I met at work and are close with 95% of our co workers. We decided instead of leaving out the 5% we aren't close with to invite everyone. We work with about 60 people so we can't afford and don't have the space to accommodate everyone's spouses. Is there a way to word this politely? We've tried to scale down to our closest 30 coworkers to accommodate their spouses but working with these people for nearly 10 years, we can't choose between them. How do we invite someone without their spouse?? *** we hang out with 95% of them outside of work and cannot physically seat an extra 60 people. Almost all of these people have helped us with something related to the wedding so we have to invite them-and they all expect to be invited. We both come from families of 10 so we just can't seat everyone we wish to come.
