Do you know the proper way to address place cards?

How formal is your reception? 

If it's formal, you should use titles and proper names.  If it's informal, you can skip the titles and go with given/nicknames.  Some brides do one placecard per family or one placecard per couple, others do one per individual.  It's up to you and how you want things to look.
