Bridesmaid Gifts

What did you get your bridesmaids for their gifts?  I got them all a bottle of their favorite booze/wine, but I'm brain farting as to what else to get them.  I was thinking of wine or margarita/tumblers to go with their booze drinks off Etsy, but I think that might get a little expensive.

Re: Bridesmaid Gifts

  • I got mine PJs from Victoria's Secret.  I also thought about getting them coffee table books to fit their interest but that could get expensive.

I think your idea is cute, does it have to be from etsy?  Maybe there are cheaper alternatives?  Or what about fun coasters?

Didn't Bec mention wine glasses from Pier 1 (or somewhere) that you can write on with chalk?  Maybe I'm on crack.

  • I got them sapphire tennis bracelets.  I was a chump that got them all the same thing, but I figured since its something pretty, its okay.

  • I got all different things.

MOH: Registration to run a half marathon with me (she wants to, I swear) plus running goodies like Gu, socks, Body Glide, etc
BM1: Pregnancy massage for her, adorable baby hat for the baby
    BM2: really nice Colts hoodie
BM3: monogrammed backpack w/ her new married monogram (to replace her ancient LLBean one that she loves but is falling apart)

  • We're doing a pseudo-destination wedding (Cape Cod), so I went with beachish stuff that I knew they'd both like and use.  Got them personalized beach totes (first initial, only), new beach towels, some BCBG flip-flops that they can wear at the reception.  I am also getting them some lotions, etc. from Victoria's secret.
  • See I want to make sure they're personalized, but I'm SO horrible at gifting that I'm getting myself all discombobulated.

I only have 1 person in my party, so that made it simple.  I'm giving her something for hosting my bridal shower (a swarovski crystal braclet she can choose to wear or not wear at the wedding) and for a gift for being in my wedding I got her this:

because it will make her cry.

I think if you got them personalized booze then getting them something else that is the same is fine.  Remember, it's the thought that counts!

  • I got them all pajamas, a bottle of wine, a neckalace, and a lolita handpainted wine glass (each different to fit their personalities).  I also have picture frames that I will give them after the wedding with a photo from the wedding of me and each of them.

I had a hard time deciding too!!!  It will come to you eventually!  Good luck!

  • Well it depends on what you want to spend...

They have etched glasses and other neat things there. Since my wedding is still a year off I still have no idea what I'm going to get my BMs but I think:

MOH - GC to spa or  a good hair salon.
BM 1 - GC to her favorite ski store
BM 2 - GC to Melting pot(or favorite restaurant we used to go on spa nights lol) and a good book
BM 3 - Concert tickets probably if their is a good show then. If not GC to itunes or to a shoe store

Adding to that I have the typical "wedding" stuff so they have earrings and stuff to wear also planning on hand writing a letter to each of them telling them how much I lover them, because I'm sappy and cheesy like that

  • my wedding theme is "colorful" and they are each wearing a different color dress, so I am getting them gifts that kind of match that color...like lotion from Victoria's, cuz it is all different colors to choose from (dresses are watermelon, oasis, and tangerine from davids bridal, so getting them strawberries and champagne, endless love, and amber romance lotion to match)...but then I got them each a silver necklace to wear on the wedding, and PJ pants that match their dress color too.

  • I found a great deal at the Coach outlet on wristlets and got each of my bridesmaids one with a giftcard to their favorite store.  Initially I was going to get everyone something completely different, but I knew if some girls got Coach wristlets and some didn't, feelings would get hurt, because they all love Coach.
  • But back to your idea, I like the Etsy glasses idea.  I love to take any chance to help someone share in my Etsy addiction, so I try to gift shop on there whenever possible.
  • I'm thinking of getting Etsy glasses from this vendor, and maybe this vendor's whipped cream soap in either rasberry, sugar sugar or almond kisses.

  • Amazing.  I want a cupcake bath fizzy.
  • I've been looking for an excuse to buy the sh*t out of Lolli's store because everything she has I want.  Maybe I'll skip the wine classes and just get them whipped soap, body butter and a GC to their favorite clothing store.

  • Yeah, that would be cool.   The bath stuff is much more affordable, and while the glasses are nice, I'm not sure your bridesmaids will appreciate them as much.
  • I'm getting my bridesmaids shoes from TOMS. It's a gift they will all appreciate and it's for a good cause, not to mention their comfy, so they can be worn for dancing at the reception!
  • I'm doing this too, except my future father in law makes his own wine, so we are bottling it and putting our label on it. We are going to put them in totes with a wine glass and a my favorite picture of me and whoever it is in a frame. We didnt have the money to go crazy, and it's still really cute. They can use the tote on the day of the wedding and the wine before or after lol :P
