[QUOTE]Should we invite my future mother in laws boyfriend that she's been seeing for 1 month to our wedding party? We have yet to meet him and in 2 weeks we are going to Las Vegas for a week and getting married and when we get back, we're having a wedding party at my parent's house. She called the other day and begged to invite him. What should we do??

  • Yes, he should definitely be invited.

  • I don't understand why you wrote "future" like that.

And this is clearly a no-brainer.
  • Also, why did you put the word future in quotation marks in your title?  Is she not really your future mother in law?
    image
  • Yes he should be invited.  Since she considers herself to be in a relationship then the SO gets invited.  This really shouldn't have been a question and she certainly should not have had to call begging you to get him invited.

Yes.  She called and begged you to invite him and you still had to ask if you should?

[QUOTE]In Response to "future" mother in law : They're dating.  You invite him.  Also, this is your FMIL we're talking about.  Why did you even have to think about this?

From now on, I'm not even going to read what you post, and I'm just going to say, "What Edie said."
  • A DD?  For Pete's sake.

  • DD after you were quoted about five times? Just pure silliness!

  • I understand why you don't really want to acknowledge the relationship but be the graceful one here.  It's your mother's SO and he should absolutely be invited.
  • I bet she put future in quotation marks since she doesn't know if you can actually refer to your dog's mother as a FMIL.

    Too soon?
  • BTW,  I'm assuming that any poster with a stupid question is a troll today.

    I'm grouchy.

But she doesn't want to be too nice because FMIL is a bi(i)tch.
