Okay, my mother is insiting that I change out of my wedding dress into something less dressy at the end of my reception, so I'm picking my battles and finding a cute white dress. What are your opinions on this dress?

I like it, but I would never wear it after the wedding. Because I don't really wear white.

I really like it.  InferiortoKaos (is she still around?) wore something very similar to this for her wedding and she looked beautiful.  I think its gorgeous, and just the right amount of dressy for it's purpose.    

I also really like the dress Fishey posted.

I like, i would wear it for the RD, where are you looking at it.  I also dont like the 2 dress thing, you spend all this money for a dress that you are going to wear one day anyways why not enjoy it?

It's your day.  Tell your mother to shove it.  (politely of course):)  seriously, If you don't love it, absolutely nothing else matters. It doesn't matter what we think or your mother thinks, it's on YOUR body.  Wear your wedding dress if you like or change if you like but don't do it because your mom said so.

This dress is to change into right as we are leaving the reception, and I would just leave in my wedding dress, but my mothers has other ideas. As for telling her to shove it, I just don't feel comfortable with that. She is paying for everything, and there have been few things she has been adamant about. She's paying for the dress and the wedding, so I want her as happy with the decisions I am making as I am.

The original dress is from Nordstrom, and I know its what she(mom) likes. I also LOVE the CK one shelly posted and the one Fishy posted. I also found this one, which looks like it would fit my chest area, and is a little more fun that the first. I looks better in fitted silhouttes because I am top heavy.

I really like the lace look, I think I might go with the second one I posted, but did you like the dress, did it fit well?

mags: I seriously have never had a better fitting dress in my entire life.  That brand makes their dresses to fit ladies with curves.  Since I have the big boobs and big hips its usually hard to find something that fits...I didn't need to have it altered AT ALL.  I LOVE it, and I wear it to fancy occassions too because it's not SUPER formal.
