KUI.... anyone else???

I am.. but I was off today, went to a xmas tree decorating party, waiting for DH to call  because he is OOT and I do not have to work tomorrow.

Am I alone?

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

  • What is an xmas tree decorating party? Do you all decorate the host's tree? If so I should have done that instead of decorating that thing myself.
  • It was beautiful today...  I love to hate it here.

Hate - no cable for 3 days, electric going off after cable comes back on for 20 minutes..  it was off for 3 hours..

love -  I love that we can have fun time any day of the week.. Everyday is a weekend day.

    You should come and visit

  • I had a couple orange juice and raspberry vodka drinks. I'm off tomorrow, so I'm probably going to sleep until after noon tomorrow anyway :)

yes they cooked and we decorated the tree.. Our Cuban friend did the most with the lights around the house.. it was really funny.. we are not PC, so the sterotypes remarks were flowing from both sides..

Sounds fun! You must meet people of all types/backgrounds there, lucky girl!
  • we do.. that is what is great about where we live.. I have friends from all different backgrounds.. we are all very laid-back and only a few of us work 9-5 jobs... So we are use to abnormal party nights.

Lynda, I'm going to assume this is an open invite and I'm going to figure out how to take you up on it in the near future.  I'm only on wine glass one, so I'm serious :)

Come on down... High weekends like xmas, NYE, MLK b-day, pres day are not good.. But other than that we are free..  DH will even cook for you?? Do you like sushi?  (although that is not cooking i guess)

  • I LOVE sushi!  It would probably be more like next fall/winter since the spring is going to be crazy with wedding crap (err, I mean, awesome wedding stuff) but it is definitely on my radar.  After our honeymoon cruise maybe I'll even be able to convince FI to get on another boat (he has a phobia, but I'm hoping the cruise ship will cure him - the movie 2012 did not help).
  • Fall is the best time of year.  We are free, the weather is nice, prices are reasonable, it's not crowded.. it's my favorite time of year.

  • Late to the party, but I'm here KUIing. Oh, and watching the new episode of the bad girls club that I tivo'd. Those bitches are crazy.

  • Is anyone still up? I am just finishing the beer I had with our ridiculous awesome Tibetan dinner whilst celebrating the events of today. I'm not quite KUI, but I am full enough that I'm cognitively impaired right now!
