There are definitely some exceptions, but I think that an 18 year old 44 years ago was a much different creature than an 18 year old now.

My mother has been married twice, divorced twice and now lives with my grandparents and gets a $500 a month allowance. She is 44.

I still have my prom dress. I don't think it fits anymore. But I do have every single dress my grandmother ever made for me.

You are too young to get married if you are 26 your FI is 20, you are having your first child and quiting both of your jobs to qualify for more help from DSHS.
