Rehearsal Dinner

Hi Everyone!

My fiance and I are getting married at our reception site and will not be able to do a run-through before the big day.  Every other wedding I've attended has been at a church, so the rehearsal was there the night before and then everyone went out to dinner.  So my question is, should we still have a rehearsal dinner?  Granted, we're not really "rehearsing" anything, but it would still be nice to have a smaller get together, no?

Thanks for your suggestions!

Re: Rehearsal Dinner

  • You don't have to if you aren't rehearsing, but if you want to, sure!  Why not get together the night before?  It will be another chance to spend time with family and friends.

  • I agree even if it's only pizza or sandwiches family and friends want to spend time with you.

  • I think it would be fun to do a "night before" party.  Just to thank everyone who is in the wedding at least.

  • I am having one, and even though we won't really be running through things, we're still going to talk about the order of the processional and things like that.  Then we're going to have pizza and beer and hang out.
