Re: Proof my wording please!

  • I'm not 100% sure on this, but I think you want it to say "the wedding uniting..." not "the marriage."  The marriage refers to the actual uniting, but what you are inviting people is the wedding.

Also, the RSVP wording screams super casual and does not at all go with the invitation wording.

Agreed. With your invitation wording, I would go with the standard "Accepts with pleasure / Declines with regrets".
What has four thumbs and is totally stoked about getting married? These people!! Wedding Countdown Ticker

    It should read:

Mr. and Mrs. First Last Name

Mr. and Mrs. First Last Name

Invite you to share in their joy of the wedding uniting their children

    First Middle

    and

    First Middle

    Friday, the fourteenth of September
at half past four in the afternoon ("in the afternoon" is optional)

    Ceremony name
    Street name spelled out entirely
    Ceremony City, California

and then your response card should say

The favor of a reply is requested by the twenty-fourth of August

    M_________

    ____ accepts with pleasure
    ____ declines with regret

You don't need years.  And you should spell everything out.  Your response cards are waaaaay too casual compared with your invitation.

  • Thanks Hoffse- I changed the RSVP back to the formal wording. I also know that listing the year is optional, but I think we will be keeping that.

  • another idea that i saw for rvsp is

     ___ready to celebrate

    ___will celebrate from afar.

I think that will be what i do for my wedding. I got it from pintrest. :)
  • ditto hoffse except it should be half after four.  Something about 'past' being associated with death.
  • Love that Mrs. L! P.S I am going to Mrs L too :-)

YAY! I just thought that idea was super cute so I wanted to share :)
  • Are you using all those different fonts? It's difficult to read and looks a bit sloppy.  especially the "and" between Chloe and Justin
  • I would leave out the word "children".  Children cannot marry is the reason for my objection.
