Happy Saturday!!

So glad it's the weekend!  I plan on being very domestic today; doing some serious cleaning, grocery shopping and making caesar salad and pizza from scratch for my FI who flies in tonight!  I'll try to squeeze in some homework in between but probably won't because I'm too busy with a Dateline marathon.  What's everyone else doing today?

slept in, knotted, worked out, knotted, made lunch, knotting... LOL.  I have piles of laundry on the couch, and a load in the dryer, and another in the washer.  My goal for the rest of the day is to get all the laundry folded and put away and run the vaccuum.  We are having homemade pizza for dinner too .

I just dropped off my husband at the airport.  I won't see him until Thanksgiving, so I'm sad and lonely.    It's rainy outside, so I'm contemplating making a big pot of soup.

I'm sorry to hear that.  FI is in Michigan and I'm in Chicago so we often go two weeks or more without seeing each other.  Can you two video chat?  Sometimes it's nice to see them and chat.  Not the same as having them there though.  Wine and ice cream always helps me when I'm lonely.

We did the long distance thing for a year, so I'm very familiar with video chat.  But this is our first time apart since we got married, so I'm sadder than usual.  I know I'm being a baby.

Wine and ice cream sound good and are already stocked up in anticipation.

I just found a pizza crust recipe on a cooking blog and I want to try it out.  Kinda getting nervous about it.  I've never made anything bread-based from scratch.  Hopefully my sous chef, Gil, will help me.

Yeah I hear you.  You get so used to being together and being so happy it's a big adjustment that first time away from wedded bliss.

When I lived in LA, I used to do pizza night with some friends.  We would do everything from scratch, then drink wine all night long.  The dough wasn't too bad as my friend had a Cuisinart that would handle the kneading.  Are  you planning on kneading by hand?  I used to make my own bread, it's good shoulder exercise.

I think I may buy some frozen dough at Whole Foods as a back up.  Yes, I plan on hand-kneading it.  Any tips?

Good morning.  Mica that stinks, at least its only for a few days though.  I can't believe Thanksgiving is this week already.

I just woke up from a nap.  There are a few things that made me happy today: McDonalds and a box of wine.  The things that made me sad today: not having any money to go shopping.  It made me all depressed, so H bought me McD's to cheer me up. lol

ahhh McDonalds is so delicious!  I enjoyed a McFlurry not too long ago (after the MSU win from U of M).  I think they gave me an extra scoop of candy on accident.  It was decadent.

I've never had a McRib, and it sounds gross.  But apparently people are obsessed with them.  I'm more of a Burger King gal myself when I do go for fast food.
