F/U My BFF

Does have swine flu.  Or at least that's what her doc told her.  I guess she does have stomach symptoms in addition to the regular flu symptoms.  Since she didn't develop a fever until yesterday and I haven't seen her since Monday, I will hopefully be ok, although it definitely looks like she was exposed on Saturday.  I took about a thousand vitamins this morning.  I'm debating emailing my boss and asking him if I can work from home the rest of the week just in case, but I am starting to think he hates me so I may not.

  • Don't panic unless you get a fever.

  • That sucks :(

Don't freak yourself out though until you see symptoms. We found out Pete's niece was diagnosed with the swine herp 2 days after spending the weekend with all the other kids in the family. Everyone else was totally fine.

  • That sucks.  One of my good friends from work was in the hospital all weekend with the herp.  She was here the first day she started getting sick but nobody else caught it.
  • Kati--totally not swine flu related, but I just looked at your e-pics! Love 'em!  I love Santa Monica and actually dream about it now and then.  FI & I are spending part 2 of our HM there next year!  I have actually been scoping out Santa Monica hotels the past 2 days!

Aww thanks!  Our photog had some awesome ideas for photo spots.  As far as hotels, the Loews is amazing obviously but super expensive.  The Le Meridien (I think that's how it's spelled) is right next door and it is an adorable boutique hotel that evidently caters to a lot of celebrities looking to get out of the spotlight for a day or two (or at least that's what we were told when we looked at having our wedding there).  Let me know which ones you are looking at and I might have some additional info.  We stayed at the Hotel California on a family vacation like 8 years ago and it is very cute in a kitschy way.
  • I was looking at Cal Mar and the Ocean View. The Cal Mar is all suites which is nice, but the Ocean View looks nice also and has continental breakfast etc.  The Ocean View site is sharp, it looks pretty nice, especially for the price.
