OK, I'm writing this fully expecting that the answer will be a resounding NO, but here's the situation. We got married well over a year ago and one couple who came never gave us a gift. Now they're getting married, and yesterday the bride wrote me to say that she just found out we never got a gift, that she thought her fiance had taken care of it, and then asked if any of our registries are still active. Now, to be honest I don't even want to attend this wedding, I'll be 8 mos pregnant and lately there has been a trend where people are having standing ceremonies (I can't fathom the logic of this. Rent. More. Chairs.) I don't need a gift from this person for a wedding that took place over a year ago, and I'd rather save myself the trouble of having to get a gift for them. (They're not my friends, nor close friends of DH, but the task of shopping for these things tends to fall on me). So, any way to say "let's just call it even?"
If you've made it this far, feel free to flame away.
