Gift for bride from maid of honor

This is the first time that I have been a maid of honor and it is for my best friend.  I have read that the maid of honor gives the bride a gift just from her.  I am in need of some ideas on what to get her.  Does anyone have any ideas????  HELP!!!!

My MOH did not give me any special gift other than a card and money. I did, however, get her something a little extra b/c she was my MOH.

I would shop for her like it was the other way around if that makes sense. What are her hobbies or interests? Could you give her a spa gift certificate or something she could use either for or after the wedding?

I was thinking about a spa gift card, but I almost wanted to make it a little more personal.  But again, I am new at all of this.  She is a big runner, but it is not like i would get her some new running shoes.  

The other bridesmaids and myself were planning her bachelorette party and going to give her personal shower at the same time.  That is when she would get all of her lingerie.

I've never heard of this.  Not sure if it is regional, but my MOH just gave a shower and wedding gift like everyone else.  But if you are comfortable buying her lingerie and can afford it, why not?  Just make sure to include a gift receipt.

Presumably, since you're MOH, you know the bride really well.  Usually the MOH gets the bride something very personal, something not on the registry.

Honestly, though, get what you can afford and what you think the bride would most like.
