I am so sad/angry/upset right now.
We just got back from the vet with Maggie. She's been having issues with her stomach so she needed some x-rays. We've only had her a year and she hasn't had xrays since we got her. Apparently, she has a bullet lodged near her rib cage. It's been there since well before we got her, since she didn't have an obvious wound when she came to us. It's not the cause of her problems right now (still don't know what is), but still...
I am just so angry that some people (i.e. her stupid previous owners) are allowed to have animals and treat them this way. We knew she was neglected, but had no idea she was abused, and apparently shot at some point.
She's so sweet and good, I can't imagine this happening to her. I stood there crying in the vets office.
