Kids

(the only children we are inviting are family)

How do I word the invitation if you would rather someone not bring the children.

Re: Kids

  • You only address it to those invited.  If someone adds their children to the RSVP, then you call them and explain.  You never put who is not invited on the invitation.

  • Ditto to pp's. It is not polite to point out who isn't invited.
  • Exactly.

ONLY address the invite to the mom and/or dad. If they reply back with more than 2 people, you can call and politely tell them that you can't accommodate kids.

Just don't write "Adults Only" or anything like it on your invites and you'll be good to go!
  • Ditto Habs.  But be prepared to make some follow-up calls when people misunderstand--and for some to not come because their kids aren't invited.

  • Ditto PPs. Personalized RSVP cards can help as well; you could set them up like this...
