Evening Thread!

I've never started one of these...

What's everyone up to tonight?  Frantic last minute holiday preparation?

I should be packing for our trip.  We're going to Asheville and Talullah Falls, GA on Wednesday.

Instead I'm playing computer games and drinking ginger beer.

  • It's not even 5:00 EST yet.  The gun.  You jumped it.
  • Wow, this is early.  But hi!
  • Hi!

I'm waiting for DH to come home from the store.  We are having a party for his staff tonight here at the apartment.

In the mean time I watching Law and Order.  I need to take a shower, but Chef-D freaks out, so I'm waiting until DH gets home.

Now it's the one where a  daugther kills her father after he marries a VERY young woman because she is no longer the 'woman' of the house.

  • Poor pup.  My Berkeley used to cry if I went to the bathroom and shut the door.  Thankfully she outgrew all of that.  Leaving on music for her helped a little bit.

I'm bored too.  Which is evidenced by the fact that I'm harrassing you about the time of the evening thread.  I don't even post in evening threads.  I have no idea what time they usually start.

<div>Hah!  Harass away then. I like a little harrassment with my ginger beer.</div>
  • BTW - my DH rocks.  He is planning the whole party himself.   He ran around town buying his staff's favorite alcohol, planning the menu and cooking it.    He even did some of the cleaning.

All I've done is finish the cleaning and taken care of Chef-D.  This is the way to host a party.

  • I'm having an issue with my heel, as of yesterday. I'm really worried about it, that it's going to affect my running efforts. It's not pain, exactly, but it's really uncomfortable and nagging. It feels like a tendon or ligament or something is sliding around, it's almost like a vibrating/numb sensation. Ugh, I really don't like it.

I take it you've been running more than usual lately? How old are your shoes? Did you pick a pair that fit your foot type or ones you liked?
