It is NOT raining.......I repeat - IT IS NOT RAINING!  And the sun is even out.  It may be like 37 degrees, but I'll take it!  I just hope this becomes the new trend.

Hi Stacks! Good morning!

I'm here, but only for another few minutes. Gotta get in the shower and get this day started. I am BUSHED this week after traveling last week, getting home late on Saturday night, and only having 1 day off before I was back at it Monday. I am soooo looking forward to this weekend.

And it's not raining here either, which is nice. I was starting to think we might have to build an ark.

Hey AK!  I hate when you don't get a typical weekend at home, it throws the entire next week off!  I feel your pain.  I bet it's super freezing up there.

Yeah, we got frost over night - but they're saying that was likely the last of it. Low temps in the 40's and 50's for the next 10 days with no freezing in sight. THANK GOD! I keep wanting to pull out my spring/summer clothes - then we get a freeze and I'm right back in a sweater. Oy.

It was warm in Jersey - 70's. All the trees had leaves on them, it was nice. But of course my allergies went craptastic while I was there. So I suppose I have that to look forward to. Ha!

Oooo cfa have fun! I'm starting to think I need to do that. I completely stopped working out after the wedding and now I'm having trouble motivating myself. H and I are starting to talk about getting pregnant in the next year or so, and I want to make sure I'm in good shape before we do that.

Good morning!  I usually just lurk on this board, but I'm awake early because my wedding is in 2 days and I can't sleep.  FI is blissfully snoring away in the other room!

Forecast for Saturday in CT is partly cloudy, but 64 degrees and probably not rainy!  Yay!

It got cold here overnight, I'm not happy. Cold is not allowed in May. But, it looks like it will be a really pretty day.

I brought in 2 plants for my windowsill today. They make me happy, but holy crap was it a fiasco to pick them out. I asked H if I could have a couple of his plants (he has a nursery at our house, so I can't just pick and choose as they are categorized and whatnot) and I swear it was like he was giving up two of his children . He spent forever picking out the ones I could have, a jade plant and one I already forgot the name of.

Hi Dannie.  Good luck with the wedding.  If you think today was hard to sleep just wait until tomorrow night!    I bet you have NO problems sleeping Saturday though.  Weddings will whoop you!

Sesh that's kind of funny.  You better not kill them or your H is going to cry!    That'd be like me asking Mr Stack for a soccer ball, or a pair of shoes if we wore the same size.

Thanks Cfas.  It's from when she was like 11 months old - so it's a throwback.  Between all this baby talk and baby births on TK lately and Jocelyn telling me she was going to start calling me "mom" instead of "mommy" I just needed to see my little girl.

haha.  Yes, this too.  Jocelyn had a tv that had a vhs player in it.  It was T's from when he was a kid, so super old.  Well my SIL's video got stuck in it and I didn't want it to get ruined so I took the entire tv apart to get it out.  While I was in there I just took the entire vhs mechanism out of the tv b/c J would just shove tapes (among other things) back in there.  Well that worked for a little while but then the tv finally bit the dust and won't turn on.  So this broken tv that has no tape player in it anymore that is like 12 inches - he refuses to throw it out.  Even when he cleaned the basement the other day he still wouldn't part with it.  Like seriously - what are you going to do with a broken tv?

Ha ha, I'm the one who can't get rid of things in our house.  Oops!  Like, I save boxes that things came in, for the next time we move.  And I'm really bad about going through my closet to get rid of old clothes.  I always think I will need "painting clothes", for that elusive time when I paint something.  It will happen!!

Still getting ready for work.  I need to do laundry.  Gotta find something to wear today because 90% of my clothes need to be washed.  I've put it off for far too long this time.

Ha, yeah H told me last night, "Don't forget to water them, or they will die." Yeah, no shiit Sherlock, I think I know what happens when plants don't get water. I AM married to a landscaper, dude. Then he said I could have one of the grasses. No, I am not bringing a 3-foot-tall plant with a million blades to shove in the corner just because you have too many. I want something small and pretty.

Yay for no rain, stacks!  Our pool is being opened today, which is slightly absurd since it's nowhere near warm enough.  Oh well - it'll be ready when we are.

Last day of work for the week, and then I'm off to Mexico bright and early next morning!!!!!

I would think a pool being filled in this weather would cause it to be freezing cold for the entire summer!  Yikes.  Most pools do open in only like 3 weeks though.  That's so crazy.  We're nowhere near ready weather wise. 

Are you going to Mexico to celebrate your early anniversary?  Or just another awesome trip of like a million you and your husband have taken this year?    Jet setters you two are for real.  Jealous.

I know Stacks, we have been doing a crazy amount of traveling this year!  My good friend from college is getting married in Mexico on Saturday so we're going down there for that.  I am really excited, because a bunch of my college friends are going, including some folks that I haven't seen since my own wedding!  Being in the sun just sounds amazing right now....with a drink in hand, of course - yay for all-inclusive resorts!

We're staying local for our anniversary - we'll probably just do dinner and a hotel or something, we may even go back to the Marriott where we got married   We're celebrating the weekend before, and then the week after my entire family is coming to us for a little reunion....should be interesting, to say the least!  Two parents, my granny, two sisters and one brother and their spouses - and five boys age 7 and under, one 2-year old girl - traveling from Philadelphia, Maine, Chicago, Indy, and Atlanta.  Eek, what were we thinking inviting them?!

PS Stacks - H is gonna have some longer work trips this summer where he'll be gone over some weekends, maybe you can come keep me company at the pool

I'm tiiiiiiired this morning. At some point today I have to put the laundry I did yesterday up. I hate putting it up. I hate laundry either way. I'd want to be rich so I could wear something different every day. Not because I'm too good to wear anything twice, simply because I hate doing laundry that much.

I always wear flip flops at inappropriate times.  Yesterday I was getting a pedicure and I had flip flops on before leaving the house, FI said, "you're going to wear those?  Outside?  You do know it's raining!"  I caved and put them in my purse.  The puddles were pretty big.

Thanks to all for your congratulations, I cannot wait for the wedding to be here!  Today I try on my dress after not seeing it for 5 weeks, no time for alterations so that baby had better fit right!
