Boss / Ex lover...Do i have to invite him?

OK so years and years ago i had this sorted fantasy affair with my boss...girls, you know what i mean...in the office after hours etc.  anyway, i left the job on good terms and then actually was asked to come back about a year ago.  So now i'm making my guest list, and my man of honor insists that I have to invite him b/c he's my boss.  But he's also my ex you know? What are your thoughts invite him or no?

You never have to invite coworkers. You should probably not invite coworkers with whom you've had SORDID affairs.

Yes, I too would like details. Sorted fantasies are my favorite kind. I sort mine in shoeboxes. But man, is it hard to stuff a unicorn in a shoebox.

I dunno whether you should invite him or not. There's nothing inherently wrong with inviting an ex to a wedding. One of my exes will be at ours. But only you know what the relationship is.

You know...we slept together a bunch of times...we didn't actually date or anything.  my FI knows all about it and could care less.  But it's a very small office of 5 of us, and I'm assuming they are expecting an invite

There's no obligation to invite co-workers, period.  If you don't socialize with them outside of work, don't invite them.  Your wedding is a personal life event, not a work networking event.  If you don't think you'd still be friends with them if you didnt' work there, or you wouldn't invite them to your home for dinner, don't invite them to your wedding.

Well... one of my friends had an affair with her boss and he bought her a car. Yeah, top that!

Then the boss's sister accused my friend of having an affair with HER husband, so she got the heck out of Dodge. And returned the car.
