I know this isn't really etiquette related, but I seem to get the quickest and most answers about WR things here.
When we got engaged we figured out a few details so we could set a reasonable budget, and then figured out how long it would take us to save that much. We have some savings already but I didn't count that in our budget, but I also do not have as putting very much into regular savings for the 2 years until the wedding. I have a little bit of a cushion every month though.
I thought this was fine but the more I look at it I am wondering if we are cutting things too close. I read on a blog that most wedding budgets go over by 20%?! I think that number is probably outrageous but I figure a lot probably do go over. So how close to your budget were you, or how much of a cushion did you build into your budget (wedding or regular budget)?
