Lavender instead of rose petals

I'm thinking of using dried lavender instead of rose petals on the aisle. FI thinks we will need tons more lavender than if we were to use rose petals to cover the aisle. He suggested dried lavender heads to get more coverage.Has anybody done this or seen this? What are your thoughts about it?

I would just worry about dried lavendar, especially if inside, it is crunchy and may get ground up into the carpet, and your venue will not be happy.I am trying to come up with alternatives as well, and someone suggested to me, carnation petals, as a much cheaper alternative to rose petals.

I would use it outside.  Inside is too strong a scent
