Kosher NYC Budget Brunch (catering and venue recommendations, please!)

Help, please! I'm a non-girly girl trying to plan a kosher NYC wedding on a SERIOUS budget. So far, we've decided we'd like to do something outdoors and a brunch, preferably in Brooklyn, Queens, or New Jersey (accessible to public transport). We're thinking about spring/ summer 2013. 

Any advice on good outdoor/indoor venues and catering would be really helpful!
