I have posted a question on this board before but never really introduced myself. So I will start with that.
My name is Katie, my FI and I have been together for 8 years and are finally getting married! We are getting married on Sept. 10/11, and I am from Toronto, Canada.
My question is about wording our invites.
My parents would like to have their names on the invite since they are contributing to the wedding. I am completely fine with that.
We will be putting his parents names on as well, the problem is they are divorced and remarried... have been for about 20 years. I have been looking up samples and they only have ideas for divorced parents of the bride... how would I go about wording this?
I was thinking something like this...
Mr. and Mrs. (Brides parents)
reqeuest the honour of your precense
at the marriage of their daughter
Mr and Mrs ( Mom and Step dads name)
and Mr and Mrs ( Dad and Step moms name)
Mr and Mrs (Brides Parents)
Mr. and Mrs (Grooms mom and stepdad) and Mr and Mrs (grooms dad and stepmom)
request the honour of your precense
at the marrige of their children
KatieV10 and FI
Is one of these options acceptable?
Any help would be appreciated!
