I learned to sew because of costuming, but I learned how to do certain things online, actually.

You can YouTube different techniques and how to do them. The internet makes life easier when learning to do things.

Well, for me being new at sewing, it wasn't as easy as I was led to believe BUT it wasn't too hard either.  I think it took me about 5 hours total and that was partly because the little straps that hold on the handles were harder to do than I thought they would be.  But I think if I make another one, it'll be a lot easier and a lot faster now that I know what to do.

I have some other really cute bright colored fabrics that I might make another one out of.  I've found a lot of easy projects and tips online.

You give me hope for my future! I'm excited to get a sewing machine---or rehab my great-great grandmother's old Singer machine...these crafty things make me smile, but I couldn't do them right now if my life depended on them.

That is so cute! It looks just as good as a Vera Bradley bag! (I am reminded of my mother who always looks at clothes and curtains at stores and says, "Oh, I can make that cheaper than what they're charging!")

Some of the directions were a little hard to follow, but she sells them on Etsy and I almost wonder if that's why - to keep competition down you know?  Overall not too hard though!
