Happy lazy Sunday

Hi!

I was just at a lunch thing, and I'm happily full of alcohol, so since it's sprinkling outside, I'm using the weather as an excuse to be lazy right now.

What's up?

Re: Happy lazy Sunday

  • Hello! I'm just taking a break from making a shutterfly photobook because it's frustrating me.

I would love to be full of alcohol right now. Something fruity and frozen please.
  • My DH liked Tungsten.  It's much cheaper and way more durable than gold.  Don't let them try to tell you bad things about tungsten.  We ran into a really mean lady at Jared trying to buy DH's ring.  She pretty much refused to sell us the ring.  We decided to come back another day when she wasn't working.
  • Should we migrate to MS's thread?

Dot -- we were lazy and went to Shane's.  If H had wanted something other than a generic band, Derco would have been our jeweller of choice.

<div>What a biiiiitch. I would have mentioned it to the manager when I went back. They should know if their sales people are making their customers uncomfortable. </div>
  • We probably should have mentioned it to the manager, but we're way too passive.  Now I swear we time it to go in to get my rings inspected and she is ALWAYS there working.  Last time she lectured me on how to take my rings off properly to limit the amount of times that I put my greasy fingers on the diamonds.

She also yelled at me when I wrote down what I wanted engraved in my ring.  I wrote our wedding date 5-21-11 and she thought it was an "S".  When I told her that it was a five, she said "Well then you should have written a five."  UGH!!  So glad to be moving away from her!
  • Matt: I went to Jared's in Burlington once.  I will never go back there.  Granted I looked a little scrubby when I went in looking for an xmas gift for H, but the place was dead.  I had several employees follow me like I was going to steal something, and when I finally got someone to help me, she sighed and started showing me the cheapest stuff they had.  I never gave her a budget, I ended up getting frustrated and said "I guess you don't want my business" and walked out.
  • Hockey, it's the one in Burlington.  My DH purchased my engagement ring there and worked with a really nice lady.  We've worked with her several times since then and had a nice time.  It was just this one lady.  She's like an old Eastern European woman with short white/gray hair.  Her name like Narcissa, but it sounds like Narissa from "Enchanted" (Susan Sarandon's character, the evil queen), so that's what I think of whenever I work with her.  UGH!

  • hahaha I think that is who "waited" on me!
  • Must have been.  Everyone else has been really nice there!!
