I'm Bored

Anyone around tonight? I'm drinking good ol' Bud Light. Trying to take it easy before the craziness that will ensue tomorrow at my friend's bachelorette party.

  • I'm bored too.  I'm about to od on internet shopping.  Shoes was just the beginning - now I need cardigans.

  • Pretty good! Did you see all of the shenanigans this morning?
  • I'm here. About to take a shower and relax for a bit before bed. H and I just got done grocery shopping. I am so glad that is out of the way for the weekend.
  • I did not.  Unfortunately, I returned to craziness at work on Wednesday (as in, meetin at 8am tomorrow, hey you can work the weekend of Thanksgiving right? kind of craziness) so I haven't been on here at all until just now.  Point me to the right threads?

  • oooh birdie those are really cute!  I ended up getting dyeables but not dyeing them.  Same issue with me too - hubby is short so I tried to stay under 2 inches.  Wedding shoes are HARD.

  • Oh, we all just got sent to China and TK did it's best to ensure that none of us came back for the day. You can see a little of the panic a few threads down. It sucked. I logged on this morning fully intending on slacking off at work and could barely post. Things didn't really clear up until the afternoon and then most people had been scared off by then.

That sucks about your work. :-/
  • Andy, that's my next option if I can't find any comfy blue shoes. It really is hard because I've never been a "shoe girl" and I pretty much live in Old Navy flip flops all summer. My feet don't know what to do with themselves if I try to put them in something that is cute > comfy.
  • So, is there a way to stop TK from automatically sending me to TN and making me click 5 links to get back here every time, other than changing my wedding date to the future?

  • Ew qq I haven't heard of that happening to anyone today!

That's annoying. TK needs to get their shiit together. We have Knot Careers to uphold.
  • Birdie it only happens to those of us that are past our wedding date. If you continue to have to log in every time it will automatically direct you to the nest. That is why I leave myself logged on all the time so I don't have to deal with it.

  • I am already logged in all the time, and that is the link I am using!

  • Thats odd. It always works for me.

  • Yeah I always just stay logged in, and have only been directed to the nest like 3 times.  I have the link Ciara posted saved and just always click on that to get here.

Birdie those shoes are cute.  H and I are exactly the same height so I planned on a small heel or flats, but found pink shoes at Nine West that i fell in love with that were only $40.  Unfortunately there were a 4" heel though.  But I bought them anyways.  H always wears lifts in his dress shoes because of the way they cut into his ankles, so that helped a little.  It really doesn't show in pictures though that I look taller than him.  I bought high heel flip flops for the reception too since my dress was hemmed to the high shoes.

  • I just got 2 sweater and 2 dresses from Target - total damage was $120 BUT I had a $25 gift card for my bday.

Add that to my shopping spree at Ann Taylor (1 dress, 2 sweaters - $80)

    I am a SHOPPING FOOL.

Now all I "need" is a black cardigan, brown shoes, coat and bag.  And I'll fit in. Seriously the women in my office dress really nicely.

    Oh yeah and jewerly.  Sigh.

  • Online shopping is do addicting.  When I was a freshman in college (and all I wore was Abercrombie and AE) I used to order online constantly and would get packages to my dorm like twice a week.  Yeah i went through my graduation money after the first semester.  But I had an awesome wardrobe at the time.

I had a $65 gift card from DSW from when my mom returned shoes and gave me the credit for some reason (my moms kickass like that), and had birthday coupons and rewards.  I bought a pair of winter boots and flats and ended up with $2 left on the card.  I was so excited with my thriftiness.

[QUOTE]I love these for blue flats. <a href="http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=prod109250034&parentId=cat000209&masterId=cat000199&index=31&cmCat=cat000000cat000141cat000149cat000199cat000209" rel="nofollow">http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=prod109250034&parentId=cat000209&masterId=cat000199&index=31&cmCat=cat000000cat000141cat000149cat000199cat000209</a> They are way overpriced but are very cute. It doesn't help that the heel version is the same priced.  <a href="http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=prod64820067&parentId=cat000209&masterId=cat000199&index=71&cmCat=cat000000cat000141cat000149cat000199cat000209" rel="nofollow">http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=prod64820067&parentId=cat000209&masterId=cat000199&index=71&cmCat=cat000000cat000141cat000149cat000199cat000209</a>

I think those or a pair similar to those were on Zappos too! I also have the problem with having triangle feet. The ball of my foot is wide so shoes are tight and uncomfortable around that area, but then my heel is very skinny and shoes without straps seem to flip flop off of the back of my foot.

Beach, you have more guts than me! I guess i haven't really paid attention to my friends in their pictures, but I just have this picture of it being like a middle school Christmas dance where I'm 6 inches taller than my date. :-/
  • I got the heather cardigan from target.  I literally buy clothes once a year - all within 24 hours.  I really don't like shopping because I'm not very good at it.

  • I had 4 inch heels for the ceremony and as soon as the receiving line was over I put on white and red skechers.

  • Hmmm, never heard of it.  But I have also never heard of almost any designers until TK, since I bought the 2nd dress I tried on.  Mine was Mori Lee.

Thanks Birdie.  I've been told many times that he has a face only a mother could love.  H hates that my nickname for him is Bug, and its totally because of his bug eyes.

Yep, I was that bride who had her BMs wear matching shoes.  But they did actually request matching since they had short dresses, and I bought them all.  I thought they were kickass though, and bought myself a pair.

  • I grew up with Boston Terriers so I totally understand the face only a mother could love! I love them more than a lot of things...

Yes we're those people who put their dog on a blanket that was supposed to look like clouds and took her picture. :)
