I'm having the reception in my church's cultural hall beacause it's free and we can save that money for other important things. We're on a tight budget and fortunately we both have small families, but we also love and appreciate the majority of the people at our church, so we decided to invite about 10-15 families from our church...but there is one in particular that just left me in shock. They tend to invite their friends and other people for other parties and events. I figured that once they saw the people adressed on the invite they would know that those are the only ones able to attend. But apparently, my wedding was no exception. I reminded them quite a few times to send me their rsvp card...and when I finally got it (way after the deadline) I saw that they had put down that 12 people were coming!!! and they're only a family of 5!!! I've been thinking about this for the past two days and it really bothers me that they have the nerve to invite other people that I don't even know to my wedding, especially since I've told them at times during conversation that my fiance and I have a tight budget. How should I handle this situation??? I'm just enfuriated!!!!
