E-party Invites

My brother and SIL are throwing us an E-party at their house in September, when should i start sending invites? I am sure another topic like this will arise soon, my FI feels the need to invite all, when i feel that just close friends, wedding party and family should be invited.

Re: E-party Invites

  • I am hoping to keep it semi-small, for their sake. Family, close friends, wedding party.
I am also planning on making ALL our invites for all events. I have a graphic design degree and what better way to use it after 3 years than now? (Plus, money saver)! But, i will let them send the invites if that is the proper way, was just unsure about the invite time-frame.

  • 4-6 weeks. Depending on formality. If they're formal mailed invitations, then sure, 4-6 weeks.

Like PP said, you have to invite everyone invited to the eparty to the wedding, so tell your FI to keep that in mind before he makes a list of 200 e-party attendees. Also, you might want to see how many people they can afford to host/their house can comfortably hold. E-parties are technically for the families to meet and greet, so you might want to stick to close family and those whom you're thinking about asking to be in your wedding party.
