So DH and I are going to a friend's wedding (not a good friend, but a friend) tomorrow night and I was planning on giving them a picnic basket with flatware, plates, and wine glasses in it that we got for our wedding (7 yrs ago). It has never been opened or used and looks brand new- from Pier1. I told DH I was going to do this and put in a nice bottle of wine with fine chocolates and he flipped out. He said he'd be embarressed if we did this and said not to. What are your thoughts??
