I found a flower girl dress that is very similar to my gown - which is awesome bc my gown is a pretty unique style - and i literally just said to someone "wait, will that make my dress less special, if a kid walks down the aisle in it first??"

yes! stagemanager - that's what's giving me pause - it's too bridal. i'd rather her look like a mini bridesmaid that a mini bride. i knew i wasn't crazy!

It sounds great that there is a style of flower girl dress very similar to yours, but going the mini bride rout is a bit creepy like others said. If you're worried about her looking too much like a bride, why not help her find a pretty dress in the same colors or lighter shade as your bridesmaids?

FYI: I'm thinking for my own wedding, I want the flower girl dress in color - not necessarily because I only want to be the one in white, but I LOVE color!

A coloured sash would make the outfit look much less bridal, while still coordinating well with your dress. But honestly, no one will care...

I don't like little mini brides either. I honestly don't like flower girls in white dresses at all, even when they don't match the bride's dress.  I like flower girl dresses that compliment the wedding party.
