Need to reply to RSVP replies?

We are doing RSVP's by phone or email, and we got our first two yesterday  (I'm ridiculously excited about that!).  One was by email and the other was a voicemail message (I was away from my phone).  My question is whether I need to reply (to the reply)?  I'm probably overthinking this, but just wanted to check ...

You don't have to but perhaps maybe a quick text or email just so that they know you got the response.

We didn't to our mailed ones, but to anything emailed, I'd at least send a "Thanks! Can't wait to see you!/We'll miss you!" sort of response, but that's just me.

Only if the guests in question are RSVPing for uninvited guests that you can't accommodate.  Then you need to let them know that they can't bring their uninvited guests.

I'm throwing a sprinkle for a friend next week and have had replies come in via phone and email. I responded to all of the email RSVPs because it just felt weird not to. I'm sure it's fine either way though!

My impulse is to send a brief reply to the emails because it seemed odd not to, somehow, so I think I'll do that and just not worry about the phone ones unless there's a problem.

A "sprinkle", Miss Kristen?  Hee, hee.  I like that!
