TY note for EACH shower gift?

I read on an etiquette site that I should send one per gift I received - so 3 total for buffet dish, napkins, and napkins rings? That sounds a little redundant to me.

TIA!

  • No. Doing that would make the trees scream. Just one note per giver. List everything on the one note.

  • If they are all from the same person, only send one. You will, however, need to send a second one if that person also gives you a wedding gift.

Ditto this. And if you get a gift from multiple people, as in a few people go in on a gift together, you need to send a TY to each of them individually.

  • You need to be specific in the TY note so you do thank the person for each gift that was given.

BUT, you don't need to write one person 3 notes if the person gave you three gifts at one event.

Ditto PPs that if you get another gift, you need to write a separate note though.
