So I've never posted before, but you all seem helpful and i'm not really sure what to do anymore...
We are planning a small wedding with just aunts and uncles, and closest friends... However, recently my family has been having a lot of issues. These issue don't involve myself or the cousins, just my dad and his sibling and my grandmother. It's gotten so bad, that last night my dad informed me my grandmother won't be attending If I invite certain members of the family, and those family members won't be attending if other family members are there. Somehow I got caught in the middle of everything and I don't know what to do.
It completely breaks my heart that if anybody - my grandma especially can't put her differences aside and attend. I actually spent all last night crying because of this. There are other people who really care about me that I would rather invite, but my dad still wants me to invite the whole family so we can be the bigger people in all of this.
I think the whole point is to invite people who I love and care about and who love and care about me, but I know there are politics involved in situations like this.
I hope this all makes sense, any advice?
