Just need some advice here regarding gifts that we received in the mail today, 2 weeks before our wedding. One gift is from a great great aunt who lives in Florida and can't make it to the wedding. First, how do I know if this was a shower gift or wedding gift (for the thank you card). Or should I just keep the thank you note "neutral" like "Thank you so much for the...." Also, should I send the thank you card soon? Like before our wedding?
Last question...I received a check from a friend's mother in the mail with a sweet card. She isn't invited to the wedding, but sent a check to us anyways!! Should I call her and thank her AND send a thank you card? Or just call...or just thank you card. AND...when is it acceptable to cash the check?
