CHI Hair Dryer

Worth it or not?

DH may have already ordered it for me, so this may be pointless.  I remember people talking about them on here awhile back and I think the consensus was "awesome" but I just wanted to make sure.

Re: CHI Hair Dryer

  • I've never had one, but if they do as good of a job as the CHI straighteners do, then I'd say it's worth it!

  • I also don't have one yet.  It's next on the list once the dryer I have now blows up.  I've heard nothing but good things about them though.

That's the one Mandy recommended for me to get, so it's what I've asked for for Christmas, my parents might get it for me. If you bundle it with the Chi straightener on Amazon, it's like $150.

Edit: it's on sale now for a great price: Link

  • I have one, it's awesome! I got it this time last year.  I'm not sure your hair type but it keeps mine smooth & not frizzy.  The nozzles dries my hair really fast too when I blow it out with a round brush! I regret not buying it sooner.

Thanks everyone, and whit for the link.  Cheaper than I thought - I figured it was around $100!

Over Thanksgiving I had pointed out that the CHI flat iron was on sale (I hadn't really seen it on sale in person) and I mentioned it to SIL since I know she uses one.

Once I kicked DH in the tush to think about xmas gifts that I would like or things that I have mentioned, he asked me if I wanted that, but I never straighten my hair with a flat iron since it's straight when I blow dry it.  He then asked about the dryer.

If it cuts drying time down, that'd be great!  I can't wait to cut my hair because that'll help, but this'll help even more!  I know I'll need all the time I can get with the bebe on the way.

  • My daughter loves hers.  We got it at Sally Beauty Supply - came with a free curling iron that I really like.

  • I love mine.  It's quiet, it's quick and it gets really hot.  It'll last a long time.  I paid $160 - cost for it.  It retails for like $300 here.  That sale on amazon is ah-mazing!

  • Thanks, everyone.

Mandy!  I was hoping to hear from you.  Wow, if that's what it normally is then holy fuuck, I hope DH got it for the price that's on Amazon!  He's usually a good bargain shopper, though.  Glad it's Mandy-approved.  :)

You won't be sorry you bought it! I've had mine for about 5 years now. I really can't use any other hair dryer and be happy with my hair.
