So I am generally a lurker, and I know this is a bit random. This post may better belong elsewhere, but I like the honesty of you all.
This weekend my brother and SIL were up to visit the rest of our fam, and they announced that they are trying to get pregnant. I could not e more excited! I have wanted to be an aunt forever! This will be the first niece/nephew/grandchild for my family. So happy! This morning FI pointed out that there is a solid chance SIL will be pregnant at the wedding or even nearing the end of the pregnancy. I pointed out that this was not a big deal at all. He said he had been thinking about it, and thought it might be thoughtful to move our wedding date back IF SIL is due around the time of our wedding. At first I didn't understand what he was getting at, but after he explained I thought it was kind of a good idea. I remember my mother being late in her pregnancy with my younger brother at an uncle's wedding, and she was not able to have a good time. Also, I really don't want to miss the arrival of my sweet new niece or nephew. My SIL said not to change our plans because of her, but that's just silly. It's a huge moment for my family! We haven't done anything but set a date yet, so it wouldn't be so hard.
I just wondered it that was a terrible idea. I really thought it would be a good idea. Future niece/nephew could even possibly attend the wedding. Very sweet. I am just too excited about all this. Thanks for your input!
