Wedding Vows & Ceremony Discussions

Ceremony music...can't decide!

So i'm wondering what music to play at my wedding. I'm not sure what I want to use...the usual classical music you hear at most weddings or something a little more modern. Like I wanted to use "This I Swear" by Nick Lachey as my bridal entrance song, but the song is 4:33 long...how can I make it work? I'm not too savvy when it comes to sound systems and stuff lol All of my ceremony music i'm doing myself, putting it all on a cd and having someone operate the sound system at the church. TIA!

  • Thanks...you rock!!
  • There's also a music program called Audacity that you can cut your music to fit your needs (I used it when I was a choreographer for a school's dance team), so say you don't want the song's intro, but more of say, the chorus, you could just trim off the beginning & end, and have exactly what you need. The program is really user-friendly, but if you need some help, just let me know. It's pretty fun playing with it, and you can even splice two songs together if you wanted to. So, say you found a spoken track from your favorite movie (When Harry Met Sally, for instance) and you wanted it to play with your favorite instrumental song in the background, Audacity just lets you layer the two together. You can also save the new track in MP3 form so that you can put it on a CD or iPod (i.e. "Anastasia's Processional") so that way, the person you chose to be in charge of the music won't have to spend extra time searching, they can just select the track and go.
