Has anyone seen this documentary? I just watched the trailer, and I'm not sure I can handle the movie. It's about custody battles over Katrina dogs. The old owners want them back, but their new owners love them too...
If you remember, they wouldn't allow dogs to be evacuated with people. So if you wanted out, you had to leave your dog.
There was this one part of the trailer where it showed an evacuation bus and a little white dog had his paws up on the door on the outside. It made me cry because I can't even imagine the confusion the dog must have felt, or the owner's heartbreak

And the dog was about Oscar's size...
Is it true that dogs are now classified as family members - because of what happened with Katrina - and can be evacuated with their owners?
